When I saw the headlines of the Herald and the Times, I think that spoke volumes. During canvassing, I still put forward the 'Yes' case, but I'm now hammering home the 'No' vision. When you explain the block Grant and what a £4 billion cut truly means to the NHS and Student Tuition Fees, then you can see the look in their eyes as though a lightbulb has just been switched on. The good news is that there is now a slow swell towards Yes. Last week, the Herald said there was a 2% swing between Yes and No; well, I don't think it's even that anymore. I think we are at the parity moment - 50-50. It's all to play for, but I just can't help feeling that we are going to do it. The momentum is there, and as said, I now hammer the case of what a No vote really means. If Yes should win, it truly will be interesting times for Scotland. Even today, a group of us sat in a small café in Livingston and discussed politics post-Yes in Scotland. It was fascinating to hear just what new parties could arise, and how parties such as Labour and the Scottish Tories will have to change every part of their policies. As said ...interesting times! - JLTAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04388627407142946374noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3874384585810528859.post-39618120301174335232014-08-20T18:47:38.959+00:002014-08-20T18:47:38.959+00:00Great stuff Hazel.
